What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian program that provides funding to people living with disability, helping them access the supports and services they need to live more independently.

A key part of the NDIS is giving participants choice and control—meaning you can decide how your supports are used and who delivers them.

To get started with the NDIS, you need to meet certain eligibility requirements and complete an access request to become a participant.

NDIS Funding Options

There are three ways to manage your NDIS funding: self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed. You may even choose a combination of all three. Whichever way your funds are managed, you will have choice and control to ensure your selected products and services are working for you and fit within your plan budget.
